Life is a ‘Dream’
On personal level, I used to adore Vivekananda since 1999. I was highly fascinated by his Advaita teachings but today I have my share of doubts.
Precisely speaking he said “This Universe is nothing but mass of ideas.” I would also add that this very sentence changed the course of my life forever.
He also said “This life is a dream and you are the witness. Idea is all important. Everything in this creation is transitory in terms of matter.” He was doing nothing but giving simple words to Advaitin sermons.
I would say if I am the witness of my dream then it can never be transitory in nature unless I am making it happen consciously or unconsciously.
Bug is inside ‘Me’
I also feel sometimes that problem is not in the matter but the bug lies inside me. I am like the person who has taken the ten bottles of liquor and sleeping like hell.
In this state dream can only run in the default mode. I am the witness but a lost and stupid witness who does not even know he is the creator of his dream.
Now on a lighter note, have you seen the movie ‘Inception’? Do you remember the scene when whole of the crowd was violently heading towards the protagonist !! and he was at his wits end, why?
Then his lady companion says “It is because of the fear lying inside you.” At the next moment the protagonist threw his fear to the winds and crowd changes its direction.
